Note on capacitors used for condenser fan motors:

MOST manufacturers often use a dual rated capacitor which runs the compressor as well as the condenser fan motor. These dual rated capacitors are identified by the (3) terminals versus a single run capacitor which only has (2) terminals. If your unit has one of these dual rated capacitors, put the solid brown wire on the terminal marked "F" and tape off the other brown wire as it won't be used unless your unit uses a single run capacitor for the condenser fan motor. It is always the best policy to change the capacitor when a motor is changed, so we recommend buying a new single run capacitor with your motor and simply using BOTH brown wires on it. You simply disregard the "F" terminal if you already have a dual rated capacitor.

Brown connects to one post on a single capacitor or to (F) of a dual capacitor.

The other brown wire with white stripe (or other marking) connects to other post on single capacitor, tape it off if yours is a dual rated capacitor.
