Insulation Tape for Refrigerant Lines.

Over time, your present, black refrigerant suction line has probably degraded from rain, snow, heat in the attic and exposure to the sun. It should be re-insulated to keep from absorbing the heat from the sun which your AC unit will then have to remove as well as the heat in your home too!

We carry this tape on our trucks as it can be used for other applications such as sweating cold water pipes, or to insulate pipes from freezing. It is a quick repair for dripping condensate lines in hot attics too! Just peel off the backing and wrap the clean, dry, pipe in a spiral fashion with this self adhering tape. NOTE: DON'T STRETCH THE TAPE AS YOU WILL LOSE IT'S INSULATING VALUE. SINCE THE ROLL IS 30 FEET LONG PLEASE TAKE THIS INTO ACCOUNT WHEN FIGURING HOW MUCH TAPE YOU WILL NEED.
